This section represents a little experiment to see how google conducts its image indexing. Both images contain my name in the file name. Both are obviously being displayed correctly, and on a public hosted homepage no less (which increases your chances of getting indexed even faster). The first picture however has a .txt extension, while the second has the standart .jpg extension. What I hope to discover here is how google discriminates what images should be added to its inventory; does it use a list of predetermined file extensions, or does it go by file data content? If dan_krill.txt is added, then it goes by data content, if it is not added, then it goes by extensions alone. Plus I want my picture on there :-) |
